Growth Labs provides marketing, web development and design, and hosting services. We value the privacy and security of our clients, respondents, and visitors. This privacy policy explains how Growth Labs processes data that can and can’t be used to directly identify an individual (“Personal Data”) that is collected via the website and our hosting service.

In this policy, Growth Labs defines the term “Client” as an entity with which Growth Labs has an established relationship, “Contact” as any individual who submits a form or who is included as a contact in a User’s account but do not fall under the term “Client”, and the term “Visitor” as an individual that visits our website.

Any information collected by Growth Labs is treated as confidential.

2. Collection and Use of Information

2.1 .General

The following sections cover the specifics of each of the three groups from which data is collected: website Visitors, Contacts, and Clients.

2.2 Website Visitors

By visiting this website, you consent to the collection and use of your Personal Data as described in this document.

If you do not agree with the terms set out in this document, please do not visit this website. Alternatively, you may opt-out of any cookies that are stored and used for gathering data when you first visit this website.

If required by applicable law, we will seek your explicit consent to process Personal Data collected on this website or volunteered by you. Kindly note that any consent will be entirely voluntary.

Growth Labs collects, records and analyzes information of Visitors to our website. We may record your IP address and use cookies. Visitor data includes page views, destination URLs, referral URLs, and how you interact with the website.

Furthermore, Growth Labs may collect and process any Personal Data that you volunteer to us in our website’s forms. If you submit your social media details or email address, Growth Labs may retrieve publicly available information about you from social media. This information is always given voluntarily and with consent and does not limit or hinder your use of the site as a Visitor.

Such Personal Data may be comprised of your IP address, first and last name, your postal and email address, your telephone number, your job title, data for social networks, your areas of interest, and certain information about the company you are working for (company name and address).

In short, any information available on your social media page may be collected and recorded.

In addition, Growth Labs collects information about visits to the website, including the number of Visitors and visits, their Geo-location data, the length of time spent on the site, pages clicked on and where Visitors have come from.

2.2.1 Purpose of processing personal data

Growth Labs uses this information to communicate with Visitors, to analyse the content of the blog and the effectiveness of marketing posts, to tailor content to Visitors, and to analyse how Visitors interact with the site to improve the presentation and performance of the website.

2.2.2 Sharing personal data

Growth Labs generally does not share Personal Data with any third parties, but there may be exceptions. Personal Data may be shared with service vendors or contractors to provide a requested service or transaction or in order to analyse the Visitor behaviour on its website.

2.2.3 Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of information sent by a website to a Visitor’s hard disk. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. By continuing to visit the website, you agree to the placement of cookies on your device. If you choose not to accept our cookies, we cannot guarantee that your experience will be completely functional.

2.2.4 Links to other sites

While visiting our site, Visitors can follow links to other sites that are beyond our sphere of influence. Growth Labs is not responsible for the content or privacy policy of these other sites.

2.3 Contacts

Contacts should know that when submitting forms on the website, they could be disclosing information that make them personally identifiable to Growth Labs staff. Contacts should be aware that there is always a risk in transferring data and should be aware that Contacts are responsible for the information they voluntarily submit to Growth Labs.

Personal Data may include, personal contact information such as name, work address, work and home telephone or mobile number, email address, information concerning family, lifestyle and social circumstances including age, date of birth, employment details, education/qualification, business contact details, and other sensitive Personal Data.

2.3.1. Inquires

If you wish to inquire about your Personal Data that may have been collected by Growth Labs, please send an email to the address located at the bottom of this document.   

2.4 Clients

2.4.1. General

To provide good customer service for our clients, Growth Labs collects and stores certain types of data from them. This information is similar but not necessarily limited to the information collected from Contacts (see 2.3)

Data uploaded or submitted by Clients such as images, emails, media files, or questions in any format remains the property of the Client and may not be shared with a third party by Growth Labs without express consent from the Client.

2.4.2 Collecting and Updating User data

When a Contact becomes a Client, extra information is often requested, which may include name, company name, email, address, telephone, credit-card number, and other relevant data. This information is used by Growth Labs to identify the Client and provide them with hosting services, mailings, billings, communication during a project, and to meet contractual obligations.

Clients will not be subject to sales and marketing emails and actions unless they explicitly give Growth Labs consent to send such materials.

A Client can request to edit, update, or delete their contact details by sending an email to the address located at the bottom of this document. A Client may also ask Growth Labs for details on their stored personal information by the same method.

2.4.4. Geographical location

Personal Data may be transmitted between Data Regions when dealing with 3rd party providers that we use to carry out our services. When possible, Growth Labs attempts to keep data in the Data Region it originated. We do our best to ensure that our 3rd party providers follow the latest privacy and security laws and regulations.

3. Retention and Deletion of Information

Growth Labs will not retain data longer than is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by applicable laws or regulations. Growth Labs will evaluate its contact data base every 30 days to ensure that only useful and relevant contacts are stored in our database. 

Any Contact and Client may request Growth Labs to provide details on what information about them is stored. Clients and Contacts may, at any time, edit, updated, or delete their data by request.

4. Acceptance of These Conditions

We assume that all Visitors of our website, especially those who choose to submit data, have carefully read this document and agree to its contents. If someone does not agree with this privacy policy, they should refrain from using our website. We reserve the right to change our privacy policy as necessity dictates. Continued use of Growth Labs website and services after having been informed of any such changes to these conditions implies acceptance of the revised privacy policy. 

5. Our Legal Obligation to Disclose Personal Information

We will reveal a user’s personal information without their prior permission only when we have reason to believe that the disclosure of this information is required to establish the identity of, to contact or to initiate legal proceedings against a person or persons who are suspected of infringing any rights or to prevent harm to others who could be harmed by the user’s activities or of persons who could (deliberately or otherwise) transgress upon these rights. We are permitted to disclose personal information when we have good reason to believe that this is legally required.

6. Third Party Services

6.1 General

Growth Labs uses a handful of 3rd party services to help carry out their business operations. Some of these services do the Data Processing and Controlling for us. Growth Labs does its best to ensure we only partner with companies that comply with GDPR and other required laws and regulations in terms of data privacy, handling, and storage.

Here you will find a list of the 3rd party services in use that you may or may not come into contact with when you are a Contact or Client of Growth Labs. We have listed them here along with their policies for a comprehensive picture of how your data is handled.

Hubspot

Used for collecting and storing data, as well as running the website and blog, and marketing emails.

Used to measure visits, pageviews, duration on the site, and other (usually) non-identifiable pieces of data. Adwords is used to track the effectiveness of ads to Growth Labs when we run them.

Chargebee

Chargebee is the payment processor we currently use to run our hosting payment subscriptions. Unless you are one of our hosting clients, you will not interact with Chargebee.
